Tourism Minister Stuart Nash, on behalf of the Government, has just announced that there will be no more targeted wage subsidies for Queenstown Businesses.
He says – “that is the cold hard reality”
Further – he says, “We’re working very hard on an Australian bubble..” but “there is unlikely to be any International Tourists for the remainder of the year”.
This is not the news that we’ve been hoping for – businesses, owners, shareholders, investors, employees and others – whose livelihoods and jobs are associated with many SMEs operating in the district.
